In the current climate all trials have been postponed until further notice but all dates will be published on the news feed once the current situation has passed but in the mean time stay safe everybody.

Unfortunately our U16/17 tour at Easter has been postponed for obvious reasons hopefully to be rearranged for October.

In October our current U17 and U18 scholars travelled to Alicante on tour and played two friendly matches against Soccer Smart & Alicante City U19.

In our first game against Soccer Smart playing against players from all over the world of which some players have now signed terms with clubs across Europe we came out the wrong side of a 3-2 scoreline, a fine battling performance considering the quality of player we were playing against our goals scored by Ben Lodge and Oscar Smith.

Our second game pitted us Alicante City U19 who had not tasted defeat in the league in the previous two seasons. We started brightly but fell behind mid way through the first half from a clinical finish just inside the box punished some sloppy play. This only spurred us on and with the ball now being moved quickly we equalised after great work from Dominic Emmerson on the wing and a finish from Ben Lodge and this was followed quickly by a second goal from the same combination after great work from Logan bringing the ball out from centreback. The second half started as the first finished with us pressing the ball high up the pitch and after Haaris Khan stole the ball from the Alicante defence and rolled it through to Archie Pether to fire past the keeper. With Alicante pushed back the fourth goal eventually came and it was the pick of the bunch with Archie Pether finding the top corner from a 30 yard free kick. FT; STEPP U18 4 Alicante City U19 1.

Our thanks to everyone associated at Alicante City for their hospitality and also their interest in signing several of the boys for the 20/21 season.
